I've just watch that movie today with Sean in Summit in the evening. It is based on epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, "300" is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy, drawing a line in the sand for democracy. The film brings Miller's (Sin City) acclaimed graphic novel to life by combining live action with virtual backgrounds that capture his distinct vision of this ancient historic tale.
My review on this movie is, I can say that it is instead very historical and interesting movie about a war to protect their loved ones, young and old, and their country. Their spirits of protecting and fighting are very strong even though they have to suffer and die at the end, they will never give up. Just an advice from me, be prepared to face the headless bodies, ugly 'animals' and thousand drops of blood splashing out. To be truth, I did not dare to look at such scenes. The most beautiful girl in the scene I may say is the oracles, a God that Greek people believe in. Watch it yourself and you will know what am I talking about.
