This event (EMF) aka Battle of the Band is at first organized by three churches every year starting from year 2004. The three churches including Shah Alam Gospel Centre (SAGC), Port Klang Gospel Hall and Klang Jaya Gospel Hall. For your information, I have participated in year 2004 and 2005 where my band has got the Champion. Thanks to the church who has given the opportunities.

5 Loaves Of Bread vs H.I.S. (Him I Serve) vs YWAP
REMARKS FOR 5 LOAVES OF BREAD
I really think that the band members of 5 Loaves Of Bread from SAGC did great during the competition. In terms of instrumental skills and volume control, they both done pretty well. I like the genre of the first song - rock and playful. The second song is really nice too - sentimental. It is sang and played well by David Lim. In deed he has a sweet and clear voice. He can be trainned more to become a good singer. I can hardly listen to the lyrics sang by the backup vocalists though I know Yvonne has a sweet voice too. Perhaps this band lost because of no showmanship during performance. May be, should add in some other light instruments for the second song due to it is the battle of the BAND. I may say it is a brave try for them.
REMARKS FOR H.I.S.
The second band - H.I.S. from Sunway (i think) started well in the first song which is slow and sentimental. It is nice. But later on has no volume control for the next few songs which are covered by the electric guitarists. All I can hear is music distortion with no clear voice of vocalist. Nevertheless, I've no doubt that they have composed a nice song but sadly presented not so well because it is noisy too.
REMARKS FOR YWAP
I like the first song "Nazarene" of the YWAP from Bandar Utama Gospel Centre (i guess). I really like the male singer voice - firm, clear and talented in singing (with vibrato). I can say that other songs are just only normal but well performed by the singers since they dance a lot. This added marks to the showmanship. Thus, they are the champion for year 2007.
