Many times, I failed to express my feelings in speeches. May be the most comfortable and easiest way to express myself is through writing. And here it is - the place to fill in my thoughts, my feelings, my life and everything about me. Welcome to my world...

Camp A-Blaze - Keep the Fire Burning

I've went to a camp in Port Dickson for 3 day 2 night. It was organized by the Shah Alam Gospel Centre. We were staying at the Golden Sands Baptist Assembly. There were telematches, playing at the sea, special night presentation, sharing and talks. Although not much exciting activities held, the time I spent was a truly very personal moment and it stoke my fire burning in me. There was time that I have gone astray and it is time that I should do something great with God. "Oh God, please use me in whatever ways You want me to be", I pray. I wanna thank the speaker, brother Steven Low who has faithfully serve the Lord and giving me advised and words of encouragement. Indeed, I pray that the Lord will use him to serve God in powerful ways.

Here are some of the points that I've learnt from the camp. I hope it will help in your spiritual growth.

SESSION 1: REMAIN

This session is based on Leviticus 6:8-9
The Lord said to Moses: "Give Aaron and his sons this command: 'These are the regulations for the burnt offering: The burnt offering is to remain on the altar hearth throughout the night, till morning..."

Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Something that hindrance us from worshiping God:
1. The primal pain of the heart
2. The cynicism of the mind (eg. How we think about God's goodness when we're in pain?)
3. The paralysis of the will (eg. blaming)
4. The overcrowding of the will

There are three main reasons for our pain:
1. We reap what we sow
2. God is disciplining us
3. God is refining us

There is so often that we tempted to lose focus, lose feeling and lose faith in God.

Losing focus

1 Cor 6:19-20 (Honour God with our body)
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your body.

Acts 13:36 (To serve God's purose)
"For when David had served God's purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his fathers and his body decayed..."

Hebrew 12:1 (Run with perseverance)
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

Philippians 1:6 (Carry it on to completion)
Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Acts 17:26
From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.

Matthew 7: 21-23
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

Losing feelings

John 15:1-8

Revelation 2:4
Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love.

Losing faith

Romans 8:35-38
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Questions
i) Can you receive Jesus Christ as Saviour and not Lord?
ii) Do you personally know why you are put here on this earth for?
iii) In what ways do you think you are a fruitful branch of the Vine?
iv) In what ways are you tempted to give up on God?
